Welcome to Zen-On, largest specialist music publishing company in Japan. Our publishing house was founded by Teiji Shimada in 1931 in Tokyo, and the private enterprise was reorganised to a joint-stock company on 13 September 1947. Since the foundation, we have been distributing, particularly, educational materials not only music, but also instruments which are fitted, right, secure and good quality for the educational purposes. On the other hand, for the professionals, we own a big catalogue of music copyrights including the works of such distinguished 20th century Japanese composers as Akutagawa, Mamiya, Yuasa, Miki, Miyoshi, Ikebe, Niimi, Satoh, Nishimura, Nodaira, Kaneko, etc… Overseas’distribution of our publications is handled by Editions Alphonse Leduc, Paris, for France, Monaco and Luxemburg, MDS, Mainz, for European countries, with the exception of the territories of A. Leduc, Hal Leonard Corp., Milwaukee, for USA, Canada and Mexico, Music Knowledge, Victoria, for Australia and New Zealand, and Zen-On, Tokyo, directly supply for rest of the world.
