Tatiana Maximov

Tatiana Maximov was born in Moscow in 1945. During her History studies, she worked as librarian in the Soviet Writers’ Union and as a secretary in the Bibliophile Club at the Moscow Writers’ House, from 1966 to 1973. In 1974, she was forced to leave USSR with her husband, writer Vladimir Maximov. They settled in France, where she became the Secretary of the Eastern Countries dissident review Kontinent as well as its librarist and archivist (1974-1993). She has very important contacts in currents Russian intellectual circles (writers, scientists, artists…) among specialised historians of USSR and present Russia and abroad.
